This. Place. Was. AWESOME!The staff was very friendly, and very accommodating when it came to our language preferences (my girlfriend prefers French, I prefer English) and the staff was able to swap languages on a dime.The atmosphere was very cozy: dim lighting, quiet music. The area we were (in the back) is adorned with things like old newspaper clippings, what looked to be an original copy of their menu and various other older knickknacks behind older glass doors, which help remind you that the place is well established and has clearly been there a while.The food was incredible, and the portion sizes very generous and the presentation was fabulous. Everything is priced quite reasonably as well, I found as well.Over all, if you're in Old Montreal and you're looking for a great little Italian Place to eat, I very strongly recommend L'Usine de Spaghetti; you won't be disappointed!

Place was great! Large portions...free/unlimited bread and salad bar, good service...huge carrot cake for dessert. 100% recommended.

My best restaurant experience so far! Be it the service, ambience or the food! Nothing disappointed us. For a vegetarian like me there were ample options to choose from.

J'adore, J'adore, J'adore! I love love love this place.Came here for lunch today and the food was delicious and well priced, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the whole vibe of the place is really nice. I love that they have the option of a all you can eat salad bar that comes with any meal. I personally decided to eat the salad first, and it was a good decision because I was full once I finished my meal. I had the Tortellini (Monsieur le Maire Drapeau) and it was really good! Cheesy with a beautiful blend of tomato and rosé sauce. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Old Montreal.

We stopped in for lunch while walking around old Montreal. We had Le Bonaventure, which is spaghetti sauteed with olive oil, brocconcini cheese, tomatoes and toasted pine nut and topped with arugula and white balsamic. The flavor was well balanced between all the ingredients. The spaghetti was al dante. We also ordered Boulevard Saint-Laurent, which is grilled salmon with herbs and pesto spaghetti. The salmon was well cooked and tasted great with a balsamic reduction sauce. The pesto spaghetti was as good as home made. The portion was huge and enough to share between two people. The meals came with salad bar. There were a few offering included mixed greens, carrots, pasta salad and some chickpea salads. It was okay. The breads tasted good with the garlic butter.

BEST PASTA WE HAD IN OUR LIVES! My husband had the lamb chop and I have the salmon one. Omg it was soooo delicious. By far the best meal we had in Montreal!

Amazing pasta at a very reasonable price. Most dishes include all you can eat pasta bar, fresh bread, and garlic butter.The rhe lamb shank pasta and escargot, you won't be let down.

Friendly staff, cute vintage decor with cachet, tasty food, (simple but good). Good for groups and family. Large choice of pasta and gluten free options and salad bar.

Delicious. I had the Lobster linguini. Staff was great as well. Very quiet on the Wednesday afternoon when I went.

Top notch pasta. The lobster linguini was our favorite. The lamb shank was good, but.. I'd probably recommend the meatball option instead.

This is by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Old Port. The decoration is sublime, with a classical look that will transport you through time and space. Their pasta is simply magnificent, and the sauce, although with too much oregano for my personal taste, dressed the pasta and the meatballs properly. The staff is very friendly and the tip is well-deserved. Will definitely make this restaurant my go to for pasta when I'm around the Old Port.

This is a very nice, quiet, pub style restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is extremely pleasant and bilingual. I describe this as pub style only because of the layout and the dress code of the staff. People who think they are better than others may want to go somewhere else. For the rest of the world, this place is a must for those wanting good service and good pasta. The presentation of food is wonderful. The food portion size is perfect and the taste is delicious. Le Grand Prix is spaghetti served in tasty pesto sauce and the dish is topped with very tender and seasoned lamb chops. You will not be disappointed with this dish. Le Plateau Mont-Royal is a rigatoni dish served in thick meat sauce and topped with smoked meat and mozzarella. Another tasty choice. You will like this restaurant.

It was really good to eat spaghetti especially with the free salad bar and cream soup as well. I passed by this restaurant accidentally , but I am happy that I chose to eat,spaghetti here and the servers was nice. Try it here :)

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at an unbelievably resaonable price. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone. Reservations are advisable at peak dinner hours. That said, we had none, and waited less than ten minutes.

This is a really nice spot in Old Montreal to get a really good Italian meal. The staff are really welcoming and really prompt when it comes to taking your order. The food arrives fast and it's tastey as can be. I choose the Spaghetti and meat sauce this time around. You'll get to serve yourself up from the salad bar and snack on bread with really good garlic butter. The only thing that made this better was adding a cold beer. The owner was the first to greet upon arrival which I found to be above and beyond as he is still very much engaged in his business. Drop in and let me know what you think. Cheers

Visiting Montreal and was looking for a nice pasta spot. This place was very nice with decent menu choices, an all-you-can-eat cold bar and a great desert menu. The food was very fresh! Highly recommend.

We had an amazing dinner. Service was awesome. The staff made us very comfortable, specifically accommodating the small children in our party. The waitress remembered us from the night before and ensured that the wine we had the night before was on the table. The pasta was fresh, and all entrees were accompanied with trips to the salad bar. Portions were large, and all dishes were tasty. Don’t be afraid to try their house special...basic pasta and sauce. There is nothing basic about it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU’RE IN MONTREAL!

Not bad pasta. Expectation was much bigger than what the reality was. Both of mine and my partners pasta was dry, not enough sauce. Though my pasta had oil, it was still very dry. The bathroom was also not working so we had to go across the street to another bar. The selection of wines is good.

Legit one of the best meals i've ever had in my life. The staff was friendly, the meals were so fresh and incredible and the prices are amazing. I'm definitely coming back. I've never felt so full after a meal in the best way possible. 10/10!!!!

Place is very authentic and has a lovely Old Montreal atmosphere. Service is great and the spaghetti is tasty. They offer a salad bar - not that rich but fresh. A good place to stop by for a lunch or dinner.

Very cozy place in the heart of the old port. I tasted different dishes and they were all great. The salad bar is just what i wanted. However being a large group and sitting inside, the service wasn’t really fast

Fantastic pasta restaurant in the heart of old Montreal so you can treat yourself to amazing Italian cuisine after a day long excursion in Montreal. The restaurant has the feel of a quintessential Italian restaurant, with lighting slightly on the dim side, wood furniture and fancy, appropriate wall art.The staff was helpful and timely in providing recommendations and in service. The food has excellent flavor and the helpings were hearty.

Good location in old port, decent food, the spaghetti is not home made which is a negative point for a spaghetti house but the price is good and they have a salad bar included. Also big spot for big group outgoing. Overall good experience.

Great portions, prices are ok/on the high side but needs a little more flavoring. Needed a little more salt & pepper in most dishes. I understand you can flavour to your liking when seated but when taking out, a little more difficult... But overall, pretty good!

Wonderful pasta place. Excellent meat dishes. Very courteous staff.All-you-can-eat bread, garlic butter and salads with any main dish.Wait time is about 15 minutes around 8PM

Good ambiance, good food. Great location for family (we brought our 2.5 year old). Service from Vicky was outstanding, she was very accommodating and attentive.

Recommended! Great Italian restaurant! Food was really good specially the lasagna the make. Great beer and wine options to enjoy. The place is clean, quite and staff is very friendly. You can enjoy a romantic dinner or simply having drinks with friends in this place.

Nice place to eat. Was not our first choice but then since every other place had a waiting and we were dead hungry so we ended up going here. We did not go with many expectations but to our surprise the food was yummy specially the vegetarian ones. The lasagna with beef was good but a little bland. Fettuccine with duck was nice. And we even found out that Charles Dickens wrote a part of one of his books in this place. All in all a nice place to eat.

1. Grilled marinated lamb chop - this is really good. Fragrant and cooked just nicely with a little of char. Highly recommended2. Lobster linguini - fantastic. My fav dish. Big chunk of lobster meat. The sauce is tasty and creamy but not overwhelming. Highly recommended. 3. Beef & pork meatball spaghetti - it’s okay. Might be little bland for some. They are generous with the meatball.

Really delicious pasta here! The spaghetti and meatballs are fantastic, along with their ricotta stuffed pasta with rose and tomato sauce. Dessert was a triple chocolate cheesecake, I would love to come back when visiting Montreal.

Staff was kind. And there's a salad bar. Portion is big enough so I couldn't finish all. But a staff packed it for me.
